Spring break

This week is our Spring break since half our neighbor school (the Cherrys) took off to Utah.  We went to the zoo with the Sharps today and enjoyed the beautiful zoo-perfect weather.  Too bad everyone else had the same bright idea to go to the zoo today... We still had fun, and it definitely wasn't as crowded as the last time we were there (last year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which was a free zoo day, and we had to park miles away).  I loved the new African forest exhibit and watching the cute chimps hang out in their hammock and rope playground.  One clambered over and sat down right in front of us, only inches away with the glass separating us, just sitting and staring as if studying us like we were studying him.

It was neat to see Lily's excitement over all the animals.  She especially liked the elephants.
