Summer fun

Here are some fun things we've done this summer:  blackberry picking, library shows, Spanish class (for me!), swimming, building (Tim's building a homeschool storage/desk unit for the family room!), and lots and lots of playing!
The kids were a little grossed out by all the animal droppings at the library's petting zoo; they just stood bunched up right in the middle for five or ten minutes until finally they got up the courage to touch some of the animals.  Somehow I don't see any future veterinarians in our bunch :)

Lily LOVES blackberries!

Scott turns 4

Yes, this happened almost two months ago... We had an impromptu birthday swim party with our friends who were over (yay! no stress for me!). And of course a treasure hunt to find Scott's presents, which were in Tim's car trunk. He finally has a bike that's the right size and doesn't have rust all over it or girl training wheels! He also got a tunnel which the kids love to play in. Lily enjoys getting free rides in it. When he opened the trunk, Tyler said, "Look, it's a new bike!" and Scott said in a bored tone, "I know." "Look, a tunnel!!" "I know." What a character. Scott brings so much laughter and fun into our home. Oh, and the reason there's a picture of a girl on the cake is because when I asked Scott what he wanted on his cake, he said he wanted a picture of me :) So I guess in spite of the countless number of times I lose patience with him, he somehow forgives me every time and loves me all the same. I love you, Scotto!
