Celebration for Baby Lily!

Yesterday my friends threw me a celebration luncheon at the Olive Garden! The salad and breadsticks there are way up there on my favorite foods list. For dessert (a yummy chocolate mousse brownie cake) all the waiters and waitresses surprised me with an enthusiastic celebration song. Thanks to all of you who came and made me feel special! Especially thanks to Jana and Debbie for putting it all together--I feel so blessed to have such great friends.

I only have 5 more weeks until the due date! Most likely we will name the baby Lily Beth (I think I've convinced Tim). My mom said that in Chinese, Lily means beautiful. And Beth is for my mom (her English name is Elizabeth).

Downtown with Dad

On Friday we visited Tim at his office, then had a great time riding the tram downtown and having a picnic at Hermann Park. The tram was a little crazy, and the kids kept falling down (mostly on purpose) with everyone around us trying to help them. But it was fun for them to finally ride a "real" train. It was a fun ending to a nice Spring break week!

Say cheese!

With Claire and Tyler's school photo shoots this month, that reminded me that I was going to try to just take pictures of them at home (yes, I'm still a cheapskate). I guess I should iron the sheet next time... It was a good start though. Unfortunately, our camera is semi-broken. I was taking these while holding onto the cover at the same time, which was very hard since my right hand gets numb all the time (a pregnancy thing). Now our camera is coverless, but I guess still workable. It might be time to let it retire. Does anyone have a good camera suggestion? I want it to be able to take lots of pictures fast, but I don't want to have to deal with doing my own focusing, adjusting, whatever else photographers do. It would also be nice if indoor pictures turned out better.

Day at the park

These pics were taken about a week ago (before the awful cold front came in). Claire earned enough points to go to the maze park (the one next to the library), and we enjoyed a picnic and a relaxing afternoon there.
